Shops are open between 10.00 and 18.00 hrs on weekdays and from 10.00 to 15.00 hrs on Saturdays. Shops in the city centre have extended opening hours, some even on Sundays between 12.00 and 16.00 hrs.

It Is strongly recommended that you purchase an insurance policy of your choice as you register for the conference and book your travel. The insurance should be purchased in advance.
The official language in Sweden is Swedish. People will generally speak and understand English. The official language of the conference is English.
There are buses, trams and even ferries as part of the local transportation system. The best option is to buy a tourist card for 1 day (24 hrs) for 70 SEK or a 3 days (72 hrs) for 140 SEK. The tickets are purchased either in 7 - Eleven or Pressbyrån kiosks located in several places all over town (for instance in the Central Railway Station). There is a 7- Eleven across the street from the venue at the Department of Education.
The conference venue and the evening venues are all non smoking. Smoking is banned in public places in Sweden, on public transport, in stores, restaurants and most pubs. Hotels offer special rooms for smokers. Please indicate your request on the registration form, when you make your hotel reservation.
